long time. no post. i put together vol. 3 of the house of royale series. this mix is not straight old school hip hop though. it's a mix of soul, afrobeat, funk, electro, reaggae, dub and some hip hop thrown in for good messure.

there's something for everybody on this mix. some of the tunes are on records yet to be released (beck's 'hell yes' and quasimoto's 'rappcats' are both featured on their upcoming albums in the spring). some of the tunes are only found on vinyl (fred wesley's & roy ayers). some of the tunes are old (dr. octagon & d'angelo). some are brand spanking new (sharon jones & de la soul).
